Coaches

Jeremy Adams, Head Coach

Coach Adams has led the Bears for two seasons, enjoying a program turnaround characterized by a 5-13 record in 2009 improving to a 15-9 record in 2010.

He says it is no coincidence that the program won the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section II Sportsmanship Award in 2009, one year before the program’s best season to date; fair play and honoring the game are the foundation for competitive success. In 2010, the Bears finished 3rd out of 52 teams District 3 and lost in overtime in the round-of-16 of the PIAA State Tournament, after finising 2nd in L-L sportsmanship voting.

Prior to his current role, Coach Adams was the Bears’ offensive coordinator in 07-08, after several seasons coaching high school lacrosse at Algonquin Regional and Assabet Valley in Massachusetts. He is a US Lacrosse Coaches Education Program Level 1 Trainer, and has earned his Level 1 Certification and his PCA Double Goal Coach Certification.

Eric Heisey, Assistant Coach

Coach Heisey’s focus on face-off and goalkeeping specialists amounted to a team 58% face-off winning percentage and a goals-against-average below 7 in 2010.

Coach Heisey’s 2008-2009 JV Bears posted a 9-8-1 record, as the future of the varsity program worked hard to learn the game, act with character, and outplay their opponents. Coach Heisey has contributed two years in the EAHS program, after two successful years coaching in the Etown middle school program.

Ben Landis, Assistant Coach

Coach Landis joined the Bears program as the JV Head Coach in 2010. His JV Bears consistently outworked their opponents played with exceptional sportsmanship.

Before joining the Bears, Coach Landis played lacrosse at Elizabethtown College. Previously, he was an all-star midfielder at L-L Section II rival Conestoga Valley. Coach Landis has coached with the Meltdown Lancaster summer lacrosse program.

Dave Cronce, Assistant Coach

Coach Cronce returned to the Bears in 2010 after coaching with the W.T. Dwyer 2009 Florida state champions. A 1999 graduate of Elizabethtown Area High School and alumnus of the Rob Umble era of the program, he played lacrosse at Shippensburg University and helped launch the Alvernia University NCAA Div. III program.
